How We Grade Our Pre-Owned Pieces

At Bonjour Havelock North, honesty is everything. We use a simple 3-tier condition system so you always know exactly what you're buying. When in doubt, we grade down.

Excellent

Worn once or twice, with no visible flaws. Looks and feels almost new. These pieces have barely been touched and show no signs of meaningful wear.

Very Good

Gently worn with only minor signs of use — think light pilling, the faintest softening of fabric, or very slight fading — that don't affect the appearance when worn.

Good

Noticeable signs of wear such as marks, fading, or pilling that are honestly reflected in the price. Still plenty of life left in these pieces, and any specific flaws are always called out in the product description and photos.

Whatever the condition grade, we always describe specific flaws in the product listing — a scuff, a mark, a loose thread. The grade sets your expectations; the description gives you the detail.
